Customer Service Training Programs

Based on AODA requirements Smart Move Training and Development Inc. will design and facilitate a customer service training program meeting the needs of both front line employees and management.

Smart Move provides e-learning, on line training program options which can be used independently or in conjunction with the class room training sessions.

The training will achieve the following:

1. Employees will receive a better understanding of how to serve persons with a disability.
2. Gain an increased understanding of the AODA, how to meet the standard expectations and how to integrate the AODA into the daily workplace.
3. Through experiential initiatives participants will receive an increased appreciation of various disability groups.
4. Participants will be encouraged to share best practices and discuss how to better serve persons with a disability.
5. Participants will be encouraged to create an Action Plan. What are the next steps and how will they be implemented?

Physical Access Audits for the Built Environment

In accordance with the expectations of the AODA, Smart Move Training and Development Inc. will design an accessibility check list to meet the needs of your organization. Smart Move will then conduct a thorough physical access audit along with providing a comprehensive report including a list of recommendations.

In addition, Smart Move provides assistive devices options such as state of the art lifts and ramps to ensure clients are independent, always feeling welcome and safe.

Senior Friendly Audit

In addition to the accomodation that is provided through the AODA (Accessbility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act) older adults benefit from a physical environment that:

1. Offers assistance with activities of daily living to facilitate their own highest level of independence
2. Offers orientation cues to accomodate for senory losses
3. Facilitates and promotes individual mobility for safe independent function in order to support accessibilty 
4. Prevents potential environmental issues such as falls and confusion

Smart Move provides a comprehensive physical access aduit identifying areas of strength; as well as gaps that need to be addressed in order to provide excellent accomodation to older adults.
